Important Note: If you have a child currently enrolled in our district and you have an Infinite Campus account, once you login, please check your inbox messages and click on the message labeled "New Student - Online Registration"

Guidelines for Registration

An on-line registration MUST be completed before making an appointment to register. Your appointment will be cancelled if the on-line registration is not completed within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment.

Once you have completed the on-line registration form and submitted it, please call 203-255-8398 and schedule an appointment to finalize the registration.

A parent or legal guardian must appear to register any minor student. (Students do not need to be present for the registration appointment). The parent or legal guardian will be required to provide personal identification. The following documents will be required to register your child:

  • Official original Birth or Hospital Certificate is required. If not available, a Passport will be required.
  • Proof of Residency - mortgage statement or deed to property or current lease agreement (original signed and executed by all parties).
  • One current utility bill showing mailing address.
  • Parent's valid driver's license or passport (no copy accepted).
  • Automobile registration certificate (no copy accepted), and
  • If applicable, legal guardianship document(s).
PLEASE NOTE: If you are missing any of the required document(s) listed above, your child will not be enrolled and a new appointment will be scheduled to complete the registration.

Following the registration at the Board of Education offices, you will be directed to the school(s) for class enrollment. When enrolling at the assigned school, you will need the following:
  • Proof of Immunization and copy of last physical exam or Health Assessment Record.
  • Records and verification from former school.

Please be considerate to other families and come to your appointment prepared and on time. If you cannot keep your scheduled appointment please notify the Registrar at 203-255-8398. Late arrivals and no-shows will be rescheduled at the Registrar’s convenience.

FAQs

If you have a child enrolled in the Fairfield Public Schools and have moved please contact our Registrar for an appointment at (203) 255-8398 to have your address changed in Infinite Campus. You will be instructed to bring Proof of Residency - mortgage statement or deed to property or current lease agreement (original signed and executed by all parties) along with one current utility bill showing mailing address.

No, the 5 year old will not be able to attend the preschool program since it is only a 3 and 4 year old program. Please click on the link to the Fairfield Public Library website to get a listing of the private and parochial preschools.

Yes, Fairfield Public Schools has preschools for 3 and 4 year-olds located at ECC, Burr, and Stratfield. Please see below to see the preschool attendance area as determined by your districted elementary school (based on your address).

Most utility companies will provide a verification letter that an account has been opened in your name at your new Fairfield address. This letter could be accepted as your utility bill requirement.

Yes, for each new student entering the Fairfield Public Schools the on line application must be completed and residency documents must be provided at your appointment.

The Fairfield resident that you are living with would need to attend the registration appointment and prove their residency with a mortgage statement, deed or current lease agreement along with 2 current utility bills. The parent or guardian of the student would also need to supply 2 utility bills sent to that address in their name.

Fairfield Public Schools is open to Fairfield residents. We do not accept students on a tuition basis.

The registration process can be completed without the physical form. This form can be brought directly to your child's school. Please keep in mind that your child cannot begin school until this form has been received and verified by the school nurse.
