2018 Summer Reading for Middle School and the FPL

We hope you will find lots of fun and interesting books to read this summer! This year all FPS elementary students are being challenged to help out with our town goal of 1 million minutes of summer reading. If you haven’t done so already, you should join the Fairfield Public Library summer reading program. The link below will take you to their site to learn all about it and their many summer reading events. Dwight School also has their own SUMMER READING NIGHT event at 7 PM on July 24th at the main branch. We hope you’ll participate in both the summer reading night for Dwight as well as the Libraries Rock! summer reading program.

When you get back to Dwight in the fall, don’t forget to stop by the LMC and tell Mrs. Robinson, Mrs. Gavey and Mrs. Delaney all about new books you’ve discovered. We love hearing what you have to say!

Middle School Summer Reading!

All middle school students are expected to read at least 2 books over the summer and complete a “bookmark” on each of 2 books. You can find a link to download your 2 blank bookmarks by going to the Summer Reading Program link below. This same link also has all of the information you need to know concerning summer reading for the middle school and there are lots of suggestions for terrific books to read. P.S. You might want to read a book by Jordan Sonnenblick, he will be the fall guest author at FLMS.

There is also a link on the middle school reading page to your Student Overdrive account. This will allow you to find and read books on a digital device in case you prefer that to reading print books. Your usual student# is your library card number for the MS Overdrive account.
